12 hour productions was founded in Paris by Carly Blackman as a young collective of international film-makers, actors and artists working between France and English speaking countries. We produce fiction, fashion, documentaries, music and commercial content.

Carly is a filmmaker, cinematographer, writer, art director, and musician.

Born in Ireland, she spent several years in France when she was a teenager and student. During her time in Trinity College Dublin, she had her first short film screened, several plays staged and edited an award winning political magazine.

12 hour productions was the name she gave to the imaginary company that produced her first film “Speak, Memory”, as the editing took exactly twelve hours.

After releasing her first album, and touring as a full time musican, her love for French literature and New Wave cinema convinced her to get behind the camera again and make more short films and music videos. This culminated in the production of her first feature film in France, “Ma Sacrée Jeunesse”. Her second feature length film “The Runaway Kids” is now in pre-production.
